Selecting the right splitters

So what are splitters used for? When we use more than one or two television set in the home and if you are looking forward to share the same cable signal, then we will need to connect them all using a splitter cable. The cable has two ports on one end which splits the signal energy to the devices connected. But before trying all this one should know a few things about the splitters and how they are used.
By using the splitter cable, each television set will get equal amount of energy. May be smaller amount of the original signal can be lost while it is being split in the port. Now the types of splitters that are available. there are two different options one splitter with comes with the transformers and the other one is that which comes with the resistors. Using the one with the transformer will have minimal energy loss as it has a there and a half dB attenuation in the ports. The latter one which comes with the resistors, will lose upto half of the energy which is passed through the input port so that the device will only split the remaining energy through the splitters.
When it  comes to buying splitters always go for the one that is efficient and durable as it will be the best to opt for. You will also come across splitters cables that  have heavy duty connectors, flexible jackets and even corrosion-resistant shields.
